These are all songs that I have sung. Many are ones that have been a part of me for most of my life.
Don’t You Know How Much I Love You, originally performed by Ronnie Milsap I rewrote this to not have a bittersweet flavor but to be en amorous towards my husband.
I’m Sorry, originally performed by John Denver I rewrote this in dedication to my parents.
Roll On Mississippi, originally performed by Charley Pride. My first nine years were spent in Mississippi. I have wonderful memories from living there, including my first friend, a deaf girl named Edith. My first lifelone.mg friend, Sharlyn was another wonderful experience for me.
Need You Now, originally performed by Lady Antebellum. This song has helped me through the transition home with actions I could not do while my body was healing.
Come Away with Me, originally performed by Norah Jones Wonderful waltz
Sunshine on My Shoulders, originally performed by John Denver. Mr. Denver lived in Florida for a period of time
When You’re Good to Mama, originally performed in Chicago by Queen Latifah. I have eight children, and to me this song is humorous about parenthood. I do not buy into when Mama is not happy, no one is. I believe we all responsible for our own happiness. However, the song is still amusing.
Amarillo By Morning, originally performed by George Strait. I rewrote this and changed it to “Beach Haven Morning.”
Whatever Lola Wants, originally performed by Sarah Vaughn. Wonderful tango!
These Boots Are Made for Walkin”, originally performed by Nancy Sinatra. I rewrote this and changed the subject from a woman learning about her cheating man into me annihilating my life’s baggage.
Sixteen Tons, originally performed by Tennessee Ernie Ford. I rewrote this and changed it to “8 Children” and me being those children’s mom.
